Takeaways from Avalanche preseason victory over Vegas: Kamenev returns from purgatory

Published

I don’t know what it is, but Vladislav Kamenev always seems to play much better on the road than at the Pepsi Center. It’s not like his pro career has been full of highlights regardless, but on the road he always seems to be better engaged in a game.

That was certainly no exception tonight in the Avalanche’s preseason game No. 5, in Las Vegas. Kamenev was one of the better players for a team who really didn’t have many bad performances in an impressive 4-1 victory over the Golden Knights. Colorado’s preseason record improved to 2-3-0.
