Andre Burakovsky hopes for a happy homecoming in Washington

WASHINGTON – Andre Burakovsky says it freely: “I’m all about restaurants and shopping.”



That’s away from a hockey rink, of course.

He loved living in Washington, D.C., therefore, for the aforementioned attractions. Born in Austria, but who grew up in Sweden, Burakovsky is a man of the world at the tender age of 24. Living in D.C. for the first five years of his NHL career, Burakovsky sounds like he could make a living playing tour guide around the District if he had to.
