Avs recall Jayson Megna from Eagles, and some Landeskog speculation and appreciation

Just a downer of a day, right? So much excitement with this young Colorado Avalanche team, but in the space of eight days, we now have a team that will have to do without two-thirds of its first line for a while.

The Avs did add a fresh body to the team today, with the recall of Jayson Megna from the Colorado Eagles of the AHL.

The 29-year-old center/wing had three goals and four points in his first seven games with the Eagles. He was one of the final cuts of training camp. He beats out players such as Martin Kaut and Shane Bowers for the spot, as neither Kaut nor Bowers has a point in 14 combined games yet.
