Morning skate notebook from Dallas: Nieto stays on top line

DALLAS – Hello from American Airlines Center, where the Avalanche will try to get back to winning ways against a Dallas Stars team they just played Friday night at home. Roope Hintz scored both goals in the Stars’ 2-1 victory, but here’s one note already:

Hintz won’t play tonight. Lower-body injury. Also, the goalie who beat the Avs in that game – Anton Khudobin – won’t start the game either. Ben Bishop will be in net for Dallas.
