ST. PAUL, Minn. – You wanted to buy in, maybe, that this Avalanche team could do anything, despite the losses of key personnel. But this is the NHL and nobody is immune to just a flat-out bad night.

This was definitely a disappointing loss for the Avs though, in the sense that 1. It was the Minnesota Bleeping Wild that beat them and 2. They came back to make it a 2-2 game and had all the momentum. But then they just kind of literally and figuratively kicked it all away in the end.
