The locks are off on the unveiling of Andre Burakovsky’s true talent

BOSTON – I sat down with Andre Burakovsky for a bit after the Avalanche’s latest victory last night, and it was interesting. To witness a player who has real confidence in himself, instead of wishful thinking, cliche confidence is a fun thing to see.

Burakovsky, before the season, was a guy who said all the cliche things. “I’m excited to get a fresh start, the guys have been great to me, Denver seems like a great city” 

I’ve heard that a lot from new acquisitions over the years, and it hasn’t always worked out for many of them. It’s working out for Burakovsky.
