New “Can’t Hear What Jeremy Says” – What’s up with these blown third-period leads?

A new episode of “Can’t Hear What Jeremy Says” here, with guest Reagan Smith, the hotshot Arizona State hockey writer and Avs observer.

As always, the show is sponsored by Bender’s at the Westminster Ice Centre. I would highly suggest going there for New Year’s, not only to watch the Avs game, but because they’ll have an awesome atmosphere in there.

Sorry, but for some of the early-to-middle parts of this pod, you might be saying “Can’t Hear What Dater Says” either. Some damn audio issue somewhere has my voice a bit muddled. You’ll have to turn up the volume some. The second half of the pod sounds fine.

I will get a new headphone headset from now on. I think I had a bad mic on my other headphones. Or, maybe I just covered it up too much. Dumb.

Topics in the pod include: Why are the Avs blowing so many games lately? Who would sit among the forwards if the Avs made a rental trade and none of the existing top 12 were moved? Same thing with the defense. Who would sit if a rental D-man was acquired?

Also, some talk about how sports media has changed, with the topic of the Jim Montgomery firing in Dallas being part of that. Is the media being better effectively shut out by teams now? Are media too afraid of digging up real dirt, for fear of losing access? Afraid of social media blowback from fans?
