Inside the Avs Dressing Room: “We’re finding different ways to lose every night lately”

Not a fun place to be, in the Avs dressing room after the game. Not at all.



Plenty of frustration in the room. Nathan MacKinnon said no to any interview requests and most every other player made a beeline for the safety of the back room, away from us pesky reporters who want to know why this team can’t win a home game anymore.

To their credit, Erik Johnson and Mikko Rantanen stuck around to account for themselves (a handful of others did too, but I just didn’t get the chance to talk to them, as the Avs close their room pretty quick after games) and I have some uncut audio of their talks.

Also, the full Jared Bednar press conference is here, with good audio quality for a change (he speaks pretty softly, so if you don’t have your recorder right up there on the podium, you have a hard time hearing him sometimes).

So, let’s get to the audio, as they tried to explain their fourth straight home loss, all decided in third periods:
