Locker-Room Audio: Varlamov on shutting out the Avs

Published

UNIONDALE, N.Y. – It was a very, very brief locker-room availability with the Avalanche tonight. So brief, in fact, that I never got to go in there. Partially, this is because the security crew at the Nassau Coliseum screwed up and didn’t let the media through to the locker room when they should have. So, while the Avs’ room was open for, oh, roughly five minutes or so and then abruptly cut off, I was cooling my heels in a security hold.

So, all I have here as far as uncut audio goes is my visit with Semyon Varlamov. The Islanders’ room was still open when I went over there, so here we go. Two separate clips. (And, hey, I’m not mad about what happened. Stuff happens. Just giving an explanation. I don’t think Avs players were in a very talkative mood after getting shut out anyway).
