Good news: Conor Timmins, out for several weeks recently with a lower-body injury, will return to the Colorado Eagles lineup tonight against the San Antonio Rampage at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland. Game time is 7 p.m. and it offers a nice fix for Avs fans going through all-star-break withdrawal right now.

In 22 games for the Eagles so far this season, Timmins has three goals, 13 points and +5. Timmins played two games for the Avalanche at the start of the season before being sent to the Eagles, as the Avs want him to play at least one year of AHL hockey before realistically considering him for a regular, top-6 role. That role could commence next season – or this season still, should multiple injuries to Avs D-men occur.

Let’s reiterate: this injury had nothing to do with a concussion.

Timmins, 21, was the Avs second-round pick in 2017, the 32nd overall pick. He missed all of the 2018-19 season because of concussion symptoms.
