John Shannon is a former executive producer of “Hockey Night in Canada” and NHL media analyst, among other things. He has a million great stories from his 40-plus years in the business, and some of them are told here.

But we talk a lot about the current state of things in the NHL, with the pause in play. What are the chances we’ll get hockey back this summer? We talk about that quite a bit. If anyone has the inside word on that, it’ll be a guy like John Shannon. He has a lot of connections not just in the hockey world, but the TV world.
