With the expectation that NHL teams will be able to expand their rosters for the playoffs, the Avalanche will officially welcome Bo Byram to the team this weekend, multiple sources told Colorado Hockey Now.

Byram, the Avs’ prized defensive prospect taken fourth overall in last year’s NHL draft, will practice with the team for the rest of Phase 2 and join the team for training camp and be a roster player for the postseason.
