Erik Johnson tested positive for Covid-19, but on mend

Published

on

We all suspected the absence of Erik Johnson in training camp had something to do with Covid-19, but it was made official this morning. The veteran Avs defenseman tested positive for the virus recently, coach Jared Bednar said. The good news: he’s well on his way to recovery.

“He’s almost through that,” Bednar said. “He’ll be able to enter the building soon. If everything goes the way we predict it will, he’ll be able to start working out Saturday.”
