Published

on

So, that’s why the Avs are favored among many to win the Stanley Cup.

In a destructive, dominant 20 minutes, the Avalanche turned a scoreless game into a 4-0 affair in their favor after two periods at Ball Arena. Second-period goals by Gabe Landeskog (two), Andre Burakovsky and Mikko Rantanen had the Avs up big. Colorado has dominated in all phases of the game, including a 23-11 shots advantage.

Landeskog’s two goals give him 200 on his career. Rantanen’s goal was his 100th.

Landeskog’s goal was a tap-in off the weak side following a Nathan MacKinnon pass. Rantanen’s goal made it 4-0, on the power play, following a slick Cale Makar pass.
