MacKinnon Krunch on shelves soon

Hat tip to Avs fan Eric Gustavson for posting the first picture of this new cereal on the Colorado King Soopers market: MacKinnon Krunch. In the tradition of some locally sponsored Avs supermarket produce such as Deadmarsh Deli Dills, of which I think I still have an unopened jar somewhere in the basement, though I think think the “best used by” mark expired about 23 years ago…

So here’s the deal on this cereal: it’s only going to be out in limited quantities, and only available, at least for now, at local King Soopers stores in Colorado. There is supposed to be a press release announcing the product, on Wednesday. Either that day or Wednesday, you can go to any King Soopers in the state, I’m told, and be able to get a box.

But you better get there fast. Again, these are limited quantities. If my Twitter DMs are any barometer, demand for these are high. Out-of-state Avs fans better butter up your Colorado friends to buy you a box and ship it off.

I’ll do my best to get some boxes and raffle them off to loyal Colorado Hockey Now subscribers. That’s IF I can get my hands on some. These things figure to go like hotcakes.

Of course, MacKinnon got hurt a couple days before these were going to come out. But hey, more time for in-store promotion, I suppose.
