Avs should sign Philipp Grubauer to contract extension now

The St. Louis Blues just signed Jordan Binnington to a six-year, $36 million contract extension, a signing that looks worse by the day, as the Blues goalie has a mediocre record and poor underlying statistics. It might serve as a cautionary tale for Avs GM Joe Sakic, when it comes to his own No. 1 goalie, Philipp Grubauer. But I doubt it would.

I think the time is NOW for Sakic to undertake serious negotiations to extend Grubauer. Why worry about this right now, you ask?
