Elliotte Friedman: Avs called Sabres about Jack Eichel

There are many people I really respect in my 26 years of covering the NHL and the Colorado Avalanche, but probably none more so than SportsNet and Hockey Night in Canada reporter Elliotte Friedman. I’ve said this before, but Elliotte is not only an ace reporter, but a class act of a human being. So, it’s not without considerable personal regard that I post something he said tonight on HNIC: Specifically, that the Avs recently called the Buffalo Sabres to inquire about possibly acquiring disgruntled star center Jack Eichel.
