NOTEBOOK: Jack Johnson will get the night off. Kurtis MacDermid will also be a scratch. … Jared Bednar said Nazem Kadri could return by early next week. … Bednar said Gabe Landeskog still has not skated since having knee surgery, but he maintains that the team is hopeful of getting him back for a game or two before the playoffs… Bo Byram on his play so far: “There’s been a bit of rust, for sure. But I think that’s kind of expected. I think I’ve been playing OK, but I want to take another step to where I was before my injury.” Byram was asked if there was ever a moment he thought about shutting things down for the year: “Yeah, there was, for sure. Many times throughout it I thought of not playing again. But when I started to turn the corner and feel better, it didn’t make sense to not play if I was 100 percent, feeling good.”
