Style points don’t enter into it.

A win is a win is a win — and this is a team that characteristically finds ways to get it done. On good nights, even on bad nights, and on nights in between.

So here we were Wednesday night, dissecting the Avalanche’s 4-3 overtime victory over the two-time defending Stanley Cup champion Tampa Bay Lightning almost as if the red flags involved overwhelmed the euphoria.
