TAMPA – No Nazem Kadri and Andre Burakovsky for the Avalanche, but no Brayden Point for the Tampa Bay Lightning either.

The Avalanche are about to start Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final against the Lightning, without top-six forwards Kadri and Burakovsky. Nicolas Aube-Kubel will spot in for Burakovsky, who had been playing very well of late but suffered a hand injury while blocking a shot from Tampa Bay defenseman Victor Hedman in Game 2.

Point played for the first two games for Tampa Bay, but seemed slowed some by a previous injury. He has been one of Tampa Bay’s best forwards the last couple of years, if not the best.

Darcy Kuemper will face Andrei Vasilevskiy in net again.
