The Carolina Hurricanes blew into town tonight and right back out to sea tonight. The Avalanche and Mikko Rantanen caught fire to gain the win in what coach Jared Bednar called a “great game on both ends.” My player grades from the Avalanche 4-1 win tonight:

Nathan MacKinnon (A): He gets his 19th assist of the year by starting the play to get a pass to Rantanen who had his up to pass to Makar and start the onslaught in the first period. With some help from Rantanen and some sweet sauce, MacKinnon was set up for a one-timer goal on the left side past a sliding Raanta.
