Avalanche Fans: Who Should Be Immortalized With Statues?

Published

on

Let’s do a quick poll here. Brennan Vogt snapped this picture outside the Enterprise Center in St. Louis tonight, of three statues of Blues players:

We need some statues of Avalanche players outside Ball Arena, dammit. This is a franchise with THREE Stanley Cups since coming to town in 1995. A bunch of Hall of Famers. Who would be your top three candidates for statues?

I mean, it’s pretty obvious, though: Joe Sakic, Patrick Roy and Peter Forsberg have to be in your top three. But maybe some of you have different ideas?

I liked the suggestion by Jesse Montano of DNVR, of a statue of Sakic passing the Stanley Cup to Ray Bourque, from the iconic 2001 moment.

What say you Avalanche fan?

We need some damn statues, is the bottom line. People love to congregate around statues outside the building. I saw that firsthand in Boston when there a week or so ago.
