Colorado Avalanche Stanley Cup ring at Hockey Hall of Game

It is probably not the best time to schedule a trip to Toronto with feet of snow from the bomb cyclone that passed through the Great Lakes region, but the Colorado Avalanche 2022 Stanley Cup ring will be on display beginning this week.

The Avalanche logo is especially valuable. Because the team won the Cup in Game 6, six rubies comprise the tidal A crest.

On one side of the ring, the 2022 Cup is prominently featured with what appears to be a diamond crust. However, since Nicolas Aube-Kubel didn’t drop the ring, there is no damage to that Cup.

Flanking the ’22 Cup were smaller representations of the Colorado Avalanche championships from 1996 and 2001.

On the bottom is the Denver city skyline. Inside the ring are the four series’ final results and the Avalanche motto, “Find A Way.” Of course, the “A” was done with the Avalanche logo.

In case you’ve forgotten, Artturi Lehkonen scored the “Cup winning” goal midway through the second period of Game 6. Lehkonen snapped the bouncing puck past Tampa Bay Lightning goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy for a 2-1 lead.

The ring at the HHoF is a captain’s ring, so it has a big No. 92 on the other side for Gabriel Landeskog. Here is the video and the display in Toronto.
