The losing streak is over for the Colorado Avalanche.

Now they’ll look to start piecing together some wins.

Three nights after defeating the Edmonton Oilers in overtime, the Avalanche will play a quick home game against the Florida Panthers before heading back on the road for one more game.

Bowen Byram and Josh Manson skated by themselves on Monday, but don’t expect either of them to come back anytime soon. Valeri Nichushkin also does not appear to be an option to return at the moment, so the Avalanche will run back the same lineup on Tuesday night. The Avalanche have decided to let his ankle heal.

Jacob MacDonald’s wife had a baby yesterday, but he’s expected to be in the lineup for this evening’s game. In other news, Pavel Francouz is healthy enough to backup Georgiev tonight.

The Florida Panthers, fresh off winning the Presidents Trophy last season, are struggling halfway through their year. They sit six points out of a playoff spot, coming off a 5-1 defeat at the hands of the Dallas Stars.

This is the first of two matchups between the teams this season.
