Avalanche vs. Senators, Game 41: Lines, Notes & How to Watch

Avalanche Senators

On Thursday night, the Colorado Avalanche hit a new low in their loss to the bottom feeding Chicago Blackhawks.

On Saturday, they will look to right the ship a little bit.

The Avalanche could not get out of their own way against the Blackhawks, with a lackluster powerplay and their own mistakes hurting them. Evan Rodrigues and Cale Makar scored the goals for the Avalanche.

The team will, once again, need reinforcements from the Colorado Eagles. Darren Helm left the game with a lower body and will miss “some time”. Alex Newhook missed practice on Friday due to a puck he took in the face, but is expected to play. Sampo Ranta was recalled to fill Helm’s spot in the lineup.

The Ottawa Senators are coming off a 5-3 victory over the Arizona Coyotes. They presently sit seven points out of the final playoff spot and are seventh in the Atlantic Division.

This will be the first of two meetings between the teams this season.
