The Colorado Avalanche bounced back with a dominating win over the Ottawa Senators, and trade chatter from around the NHL.

In the locker room, the man of the hour was Alex Newhook, and the head coach had high praise for him after the game.

Mostly good after the win for Plus/Minus, including a big performance from a veteran defenseman.

San Jose: The Sharks GM said he’s willing to trade two of his best players, but the price has to be right.

Montreal: Are the Canadiens and the Capitals good trade partners?

Washington: The Capitals scratched one of their leading scorers. The coach explained his positioning.

Boston: Bruins GM says there is nothing new to report on David Pastrnak’s potential contract extension.

Pittsburgh: Things are starting to really fall apart for the Penguins.

Vegas: Speaking of falling apart, the Golden Knights are losing crucial games left and right to division rivals.

New York Islanders: Sure, maybe it was over Montreal, but the Islanders got a much needed win.

Philadelphia: The Flyers mustered up another important win, taking out the Capitals.

Detroit: The Avalanche’s next opponent fell to the lowly Blue Jackets. Not good.

Calgary: The Flames almost crumbled after getting out to a huge lead in Dallas. Key word here is “almost”.

Los Angeles: The Kings winning streak is over.
