National Hockey Now

New York Islanders: The big trade happened with Bo Horvat, and it’s kind of a surprise. The Islanders were the team that put a package together that the Canucks apparently couldn’t say no to.

Horvat spoke to the media after the acquisition, and said an extension had not been discussed yet with the Islanders.

Pittsburgh: Are Penguins players tuning out Mike Sullivan?

Boston: The Bruins want a defenseman, and apparently are not shopping Colorado native Brandon Carlo.

San Jose: The trade price for Timo Meier will be high, as the Sharks are looking for three pieces.

Vegas: The Golden Knights are in a very similar position right now compared to last year with injuries.

Washington: Now that the Islanders have made a big trade, should the Capitals follow suit?

Montreal: The Canadiens are being followed around by the New Jersey Devils.
