Cale Makar OUT With Upper Body Injury

Cale Makar

Just when you think the Colorado Avalanche are starting to get healthy, another injury always seems to pop up. Unfortunately, this one is all too familiar.

Just a day after returning the lineup from a concussion, Cale Makar is, once again, out of the lineup due to injury. The team is calling it an upper body injury at the moment.

In the third period of the win against the Blues, Makar took incidental contact to the head. He exited to the locker room, but did return to finish the game.

This comes just a few weeks after taking a hit to the head from Jeff Carter. He also exited that game, only to return for the third period. He ended up missing the following four games before returning yesterday.

The team is not officially calling it a head injury at the moment.

This is obviously something to monitor, and hopefully we will get more information from Jared Bednar after the game.
