The NHL trade deadline is quickly approaching. That means over the next nine days, there will be a lot of trade rumors to dig through.

The Boston Bruins have long been believed to be the team most likely to land Vladislav Gavrikov. But do they already have the “framework” in place for a trade with Columbus?

Meanwhile in Colorado, the news was not great on Tuesday morning. It was announced that Cale Makar is, once again, back in concussion protocol. This marks the second time Makar has been placed in protocol in the last two weeks. Not good news for one of the best players in the world.

All that and more in this Wednesday edition of Evan’s Daily.

Colorado Hockey Now

Cale Makar is again in concussion protocol after temporarily leaving the game against the Blues.

After practice, Jared Bednar had to answer questions about how the team handled the injury. Should Makar have been allowed back in that game? Also, we spoke to Justus Annunen about his game over the weekend and how he thinks his season has gone so far in the AHL.

NHL Trade Rumors

Vladislav Gavrikov has been linked to the Bruins for a while, but now there are reports that the framework of a trade is already in place. Boston just has to clear cap space for it to even become possible.

Add another defensemen to the trade market. This time, it’s Jeff Petry from the Penguins.

After trading Taresenko and O’Reilly, are the Blues now going to use the assets they acquired to go after Timo Meier?

Also, Erik Karlsson might be open to waiving his no movement clause to join one team.

Detroit: Jakub Vrana made his return to the Red Wings lineup. Is he someone they look to move at the deadline?

Washington: The Capitals are in a free fall without their Captain in the lineup.
