We are now only three days away from the NHL trade deadline.

Lots of trades have already occurred, but there is still more to be made. There’s a big center from the Philadelphia Flyers whose name is now being linked to the Colorado Avalanche.

Those same Avalanche have now won six in a row and 14 of their last 18. They took down the Vegas Golden Knights on Monday, and before their game, general manager Chris MacFarland met with the media.

All that and more in this Tuesday edition of Evan’s Daily.

Jack Johnson was back in Denver and was excited to hit the ice with his old teammates again.

Chris MacFarland met with the media before Monday night’s game, and talked about what the team might do before the NHL trade deadline. He also discussed Gabriel Landeskog’s injury a little bit.

Mikko Rantanen and Alexandar Georgiev led the Avalanche to a convincing 3-0 win over Vegas.

In the locker room Rantanen talked about scoring his 40th goal and how the team has been playing of late.

Both Josh Manson and Devon Toews were standouts in the victory, as the team shut down the Golden Knights.

NHL Trade Rumors

Kevin Hayes has become more and more popular over the last few days, and the Colorado Avalanche are now one of the teams who have “checked in” on his availability. The Flyers might be willing to retain, and depending on how much they do, the cost will change.

NHL Trade

There actually was another trade. Big surprise, but it’s another Eastern Conference team loading up. The Toronto Maple Leafs already made one big move getting Ryan O’Reilly, but on Monday, they made another. They picked up defenseman Jake McCabe and forward Sam Lafferty from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for more picks. The East is stacked, but only one team can come out of it.
