Dates And Times For Avalanche Development Camp Announced
We’ve known the dates for Development Camp for a while, but on Tuesday afternoon, the Colorado Avalanche made it official and gave us the times for all on-ice activities. Start planning accordingly if you want a peek at some players who might play for the Avalanche in the near future.
Development Camp will be held at Family Sports Center in Centennial and will take place from July 3-5. The first two days consist of on-ice work, while the third day will conclude with a scrimmage late in the afternoon. All of the on-ice sessions are open to the general public.

Expect the roster to be announced after the NHL Draft, which takes place later this week. Last year, Mikhail Gulyayev, one of Colorado’s first round picks in 2023, was probably the most exciting player on the ice. Calum Ritchie wasn’t able to participate due to shoulder surgery, but should be able to take part this year after a fantastic season in the OHL. I would imagine whoever the Avalanche select at 24th overall will be at camp, but we won’t know for sure until they announce the roster.
Colorado currently possess seven picks for the 2024 NHL Draft. They pick 24th overall, and then will make six selections in rounds 4-7, unless additional trades are made.
