Avalanche Pregame Notes
Avalanche Game 4 vs Boston Bruins, Lines, Notes, & How to Watch

The Colorado Avalanche (0-3-0) are set to host the Boston Bruins (2-2-0) with hopes of avoiding just their second 0-4 start in team history (1998-99). The game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. MT., but the puck will drop at 7:52 p.m.
Boston comes to Denver after a loss against the Florida Panthers, who also eliminated the Bruins from the Stanley Cup playoffs last spring. The Avs on the other hand are expected to once again play without top defenseman Devon Toews and forward Jonathan Drouin, both of which were injured in the first two games of the season. They join a longer list of offensive firepower already missing from the lineup. You can see Colorado’s full list of injuries below.
Colorado called up forward Matt Stienburg from the AHL after sending down Chris Wagner. Steinburg, 24, was drafted by the Avs in the third round of the 2019 draft. He is expected to make his NHL debut, which will give the Avalanche four rookie forwards in the lineup.
