Avalanche Pregame Notes
Avalanche Game 6 vs San Jose Sharks, Lines, Notes, & How to Watch

The Colorado Avalanche (1-4-0) are on the road to take on the San Jose Sharks (0-3-2) and are looking to build off Friday’s OT victory. Puck drop is scheduled for 6 p.m. MT.
Colorado finally has its first win of the season, but the San Jose Sharks still do not. They are one of two teams remaining in the NHL without a victory. No. 1 overall pick Macklin Celebrini remains out of the lineup and could still be a few weeks away from returning. Without him, the Sharks aren’t generating much offense, scoring just 11 goals in five games. They’ve also surrendered 22 in that stretch.
The Avs, who have allowed a whopping 28 goals in five games, seem to have finally found their footing. Ever since late in the second period of the game against Boston, they’ve been the better team. Against Anaheim, Colorado dominated for perhaps 58 of the 60 minutes in regulation before capping off a comeback victory in overtime thanks to Nathan MacKinnon.
Despite the frustrating start to the season, and all the firepower missing from the lineup, the Avalanche are going to win a lot of games if they continue to play like they have over the past four or five periods.
