Deen’s Daily: 4 Nations Face-Off Rosters Revealed; Lehkonen, Toews Selected
Artturi Lehkonen is joining Mikko Rantanen on Team Finland.
Devon Toews is joining Cale Makar and Nathan MacKinnon on Team Canada.
The Avalanche don’t have any players named to either Team Sweden or Team USA. Albeit had it not been for the knee injury, Gabriel Landeskog not only would’ve made the team but probably would’ve been selected as team captain.
Regardless, Colorado will be among the most represented teams with five skaters participating in the 4 Nations Face-Off in February.

Around the NHL
The next few weeks are going to be filled with debates about which players were snubbed from each roster. We have a lot of coverage from the National Hockey Now Network about guys who had a chance to be selected but ended up on the outside. But first, for the Avs, it’s pretty safe to say that nobody else on their team sticks out as a snub.
The next closest guy who didn’t get picked was probably Joel Kiviranta. Finland only had 37 skaters to pick from but Kiviranta is tied for 10th in goals. His ability to play on the PK probably gave him a bit of consideration but I’m completely fine with the guys who were selected before him. Whether it was a veteran in Joel Armia or the younger Stanley Cup champion Eetu Luostarinen.
Pittsburgh Hockey Now: Bryan Rust wasn’t named to Team USA. And a couple of other skaters, including a goal scorer for Sweden, also didn’t get selected.
NYI Hockey Now: Brock Nelson was selected to Team USA’s roster. But two talented Canadians were left off Team Canada’s roster.
New Jersey Hockey Now: As expected, Jack Hughes joins brother Quinn Hughes on the American roster. But a veteran defenseman was snubbed by Team Canada.
San Jose Hockey Now: Mikael Granlund will represent Team Finland. But despite the Sharks being a young rebuilding team, there were still a handful of names you could argue were in the conversation to be selected for the tournament.
