Last year I asked Ross Colton about holiday decorations and he said his girlfriend had their place decorated before they finished Thanksgiving dinner. Naturally, I asked about this season and he said it’s been decorated for a month or so. He is a festive guy who, no matter what time of year it is, lights up a room with his smile and personality.

He also lights up his teammates on and off the ice. Sparks have been flying on the second line since he joined Casey Mittelstadt and Valeri Nichushkin. The trio has combined for six points in the three games since his return from a broken foot.
