Avalanche forward Juuso Parssinen has made the scoresheet twice in the last two games. He notched his first point in the win over the Florida Panthers on Monday and scored his first goal in burgundy and blue in the loss to the Blackhawks.

Mikko Rantanenโ€™s 14-game point streak came to an end โ€” in which he earned 23 points (9G, 14A), and tied his career-high feat. Notably, it also ties Edmonton Oilers forward Leon Draisaitl for the longest point streak in the NHL this season, with both streaks concluding a night apart from each other.

Around the NHL

Florida Hockey Now: The Panthers played the Utah Hockey Club for the first time this season and they made it a memorable matchup. The teams got into heated fights and tallied a total of seven penalties called โ€” five on Florida and two on Utah.

Vancouver Canucks: Conor Garland scored the only goal for the Canucks in the 2-1 overtime loss to the Washington Capitals. It was the team’s fourth OT loss in its last eight games, with only two wins โ€” one in regulation and the other in a shootout.

Elias Pettersson missed his sixth straight game due to injury but participated in the team’s morning skate. Head coach Rick Tocchet said it’s up to Pettersson as to when he will return.

Los Angeles Kings: The LA Kings and Calgary Flames game scheduled at Crypto.com Arena was postponed due to wildfires around the area. The NHL released a statement on the decision.

I would think the nfl is telling Minnesota be ready to host this week as well as the nba with the nhl. Until the fires are done, Calif teams are nomads. No reason to get fried for fans.
