Scott Wedgewood was reactivated off injury reserve on Sunday as the Avalanche prepare to start a five-game homestand against the New York Rangers. With only today’s practice between Wedgewood’s return and the homestand, is the Rangers game out of the question for him to start? Or should Wedgewood get the nod at Ball Arena on Tuesday?

Pittsburgh Hockey Now: Somewhat of a scary situation before Pittsburgh’s matinee matchup against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Sunday. Forward Michael Bunting was involved in a car accident while heading to the rink. Bunting is okay but didn’t end up playing.
The Penguins went on to lose again, falling further out of the playoff picture. Evgeni Malkin was also placed on IR. Tough day for the Pens all around.
