Valeri Nichushkin suffered a setback and is back to square one. There’s no clear timeline for his recovery as of now.
The Avs are traditionally an average team without Nichushkin in the lineup. And in the finale of their homestand, they lost again to the Winnipeg Jets. But they squeaked out a point.

Reaves vs Olivier: What an insane and entertaining heavyweight bout between two of the NHL’s toughest customers. Ryan Reaves and Mathieu Olivier turned back the clock and gave fans in Toronto a doozy of a fight. They both landed a handful of jabs but Olivier and the Blue Jackets came out on top in the end.
Check it out if you haven’t seen it. It’s one of the best fights I’ve seen in quite some time.
