Colorado Hockey Now

You couldn’t draw up a better two-game homestand for the Avalanche. They shutout the St. Louis Blues and Philadelphia Flyers in consecutive games. They won’t play again at Ball Arena until after the 4 Nations Faceoffs.

On Sunday, Mackenzie Blackwood was perfect again and the power play continued to produce.

Most importantly, the Avalanche managed to not pass up on shooting opportunities — something the team had struggled with quite a bit in recent weeks.

Jared Bednar said postgame that Scott Wedgewood is day-to-day with an upper-body injury. He’ll travel with the team for the three-game road trip but my guess is Trent Miner will too.
