All that and more on this edition of Deen’s Daily — March 3.
Colorado Hockey Now
How about an introduction for the new guys? Lindgren and Vesey were present at Sunday’s Avalanche practice. Lindgren assumed third pair duties with Sam Malinski and Vesey cycled in on the fourth line with Miles Wood, Parker Kelly, and Logan O’Connor.
Colleen Flynn has the full details from practice after both held court with the media.
Flynn wrote another piece on the Avs’ successful two games to start the homestand. Check it out here. I’ve also got something coming in my weekly Monday Column (previously the weekly Monday Notebook). Keep an eye out for that later this morning.
On Saturday, I asked for your best mock trades so I can assess them and share my thoughts. I appreciate everyone who pitched in. Here are the mock trades.

Montreal Hockey Now: The latest Habs wrap covers all sorts of topics, including the never-ending trade speculation around center Jake Evans.
Philadelphia Hockey Now: The Florida Panthers got Seth Jones, and Nashville traded Gustav Nyquist hours after Lindgren was traded to Colorado. What do those deals mean for the Flyers?
NYI Hockey Now: Three trade options the Isles should consider to clear out a defenseman before the trade deadline.
Boston Hockey Now: The Avs could’ve woken up on Monday in third place in the Central Division. But the Bruins couldn’t get anything past the Wild.
Florida Hockey Now: How does Jones fit in Florida’s plans? Also, with Matthew Tkachuk moving to LTIR, is more coming?
Detroit Hockey Now: The ending of the Stadium Series was disappointing for the Red Wings. Especially because Simon Edvinsson felt like there was a missed call right before Columbus scored the go-ahead goal.
