Deen’s Daily: Avs Looking For More Trades; Landeskog’s Career In Jeopardy?

Avalanche general manager Chris MacFarland met with the media on Monday. What were some of the keys of his press conference? Also, with the trade deadline just three days away, the chatter is starting to pick up around the league.
All that and more on this edition of Deen’s Daily — March 4.
Colorado Hockey Now
Not that this needed confirmation, but the Avalanche are not done making trades. The deadline is just three days away, and MacFarland had this to say about the roster as currently constructed.
MacFarland usually meets with us twice around the deadline. Once before (Monday) and once after the Avs are done on the day of. Since Friday will likely cover all of the impending moves that might trickle through this week, Monday was used to get clarity, again, on the uncertainty surrounding Gabriel Landeskog.
Here’s what the GM said about the team captain, who is coming up on three years since he last suited up.
Like Jared Bednar on Sunday, MacFarland spoke highly of newly acquired defenseman Ryan Lindgren. He’ll debut with the Avs later tonight. MacFarland loves what the minute-munching defenseman brings to the lineup. And the fit might be exactly what the team needs — if deployed correctly.
