The Avalanche are set to begin a three-game road trip in four nights up the 401 in Canada. They’ll start with a battle against the Maple Leafs tonight before playing the Senators and Canadiens.

Josh Manson traveled with the team (as did Gabe Landeskog), but coach Bednar’s latest update doesn’t suggest thatย Manson will play anytime soon.

NYI Hockey Now: Nobody knows how the Isles are staying afloat after trading Brock Nelson. There’s a bit of magic to their game right now.

Ottawa Hockey Now: The Sens were riding a six-game winning streak but Montreal came in the hotter team. This is the first loss since acquiring Dylan Cozens.

Detroit Hockey Now: The Caps didn’t get a goal from Alex Ovechkin but they did strike the hearts of Wings fans still hoping for a playoff push.

New Jersey Hockey Now: Tom Fitzgerald shared an emotional story about a scary injury his son suffered in the AHL at the league’s GM meetings. As a result, he plans to mandate a rule for his players.

Vegas Hockey Now: The Knights have been waiting for Shea Theodore to get back in the lineup. What’s the latest on their defenseman?
