10 Observations: It’s All Business For the Avalanche These Days — The Kings Had No Chance (+)

DENVER — Logan O’Connor continues to be a story of will and determination. He’s already a Stanley Cup champion, a key depth piece of a perennial contender, and is locked up for more than a half decade starting next season despite entering the league as an undrafted college free agent.
During Thursday’s 4-0 shutout victory over the Los Angeles Kings, O’Connor scored to reach 100 points in his career.
Not bad for a guy who’s known more for his defensive work than offensive skill.
O’Connor was one of many highlights from another great night for the Avs. Beating the Kings in this way should be applauded. This wasn’t the struggling Detroit Red Wings or a team on the outside of the playoff picture.
This was against one of the better teams in the league as of late — one that came in with a 9-1-0 record in their last 10 games.
There’s no stopping the Avalanche right now. Physically and mentally, they’ve figured out their identity and they’re sticking to it.
Their post-game mindset proves that.
