Colorado Hockey Now
Gabriel Landeskog is skating with the AHL’s Colorado Eagles later this morning, a team spokesperson announced. It’s the next step in his long road back to playing hockey again. Landeskog awaits the Avs to return home so he can continue practicing with them.

Around the NHL
The Gr8 Chase Catches The Great One: Alex Ovechkin scored twice on Friday to tie Wayne Gretzky in goals. At age 39, he’s still scoring goals at an incredible pace. Ovechkin trails only Leon Draisaitl and William Nylander in the Rocket Richard race.
Ovechkin’s 894th goal came in his 1,486th career game. Gretzky scored 894 in 1,487 games. You can’t make this stuff up.
Dylan Holloway: Notable Central Division news… The St. Louis Blues will be without Dylan Holloway for the foreseeable future. The young forward suffered a lower-body injury against Pittsburgh and is out week-to-week. Colorado takes on the Blues later tonight.
Montreal Hockey Now: The next highly touted Habs prospect has put ink to paper. Here’s how the goalie impacts Montreal’s NHL and AHL rosters.
Philadelphia Hockey Now: Don’t expect David Carle’s name to stop being linked to the Flyers anytime soon. What would it take to pry him out of Denver University?
NYI Hockey Now: The Minnesota Wild dropped another game, this time to the Isles. It’s not crazy to imagine a scenario where they drop out of the playoffs entirely.
