Avalanche News
Game 1 on Saturday: Avalanche at Stars at 6:30 pm MT.

The Avalanche’s opening game of the Stanley Cup Playoffs has been announced.
Colorado travels to Dallas for Game 1 on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. MT. It’s the second of a doubleheader, which opens with St. Louis at Winnipeg at Canada Life Centre at 4 p.m. MT.
The rest of the playoff schedule will be announced at a later time, likely following Thursday evening’s games.
The Stars enter the postseason on a seven-game losing skid, going 0-5-2 in that stretch. Each of their last four losses came in regulation after ending the season Wednesday night with a 5-1 loss to the Nashville Predators on the road.
The Avs were the first team to finish the regular season. They completed Game 82 on Sunday and have six days between games, compared to less than 72 hours for the Stars.
Colorado is 2-1-0 against Dallas this season, winning both games at Ball Arena and losing the one meeting in Dallas. The Avs won two of three meetings on the road in last year’s six-game series loss to the Stars.
