DALLAS — Before the Avalanche had a chance to really take control of the series, they put on quite the charade with the status of their captain, Gabriel Landeskog.

Colorado lost 4-3 in overtime to the Dallas Stars on Monday, shifting the series to Denver, knotted up at 1-1. Landeskog didn’t play in either of the two games at American Airlines Center.
