Deen’s Daily: Landeskog Returns; Seguin Sinks Avs in OT; Oilers Defensive Troubles

Gabriel Landeskog’s long-awaited return to hockey finally happened. The game started great, but didn’t end well for the Avalanche. Also, the Edmonton Oilers can’t keep the puck out of their own net.
All that and more on this edition of Deen’s Daily — April 24.
Colorado Hockey Now
Landeskog’s return was one of the coolest things I’ve ever been in the building for. The fans showed up, the game ops crew made sure it was memorable in every way, and it was an excellent start to a tough game between two of the NHL’s deepest rosters.
But in the end, the Avalanche lost again in OT, this time 2-1, after having another power play to start the extra frame.
Stanley Cup Playoffs Recap
Washington vs Montreal: Both No. 1 seeds are now up 2-0 in their series after a 3-1 victory for Washington in Game 2. I’m excited to see the series shift to Montreal in front of a sold-out Bell Centre crowd. Here’s the game story.
Los Angeles vs Edmonton: Another night where the Oilers can’t keep the puck out of their net. Only this time, they also were not able to mount a miraculous late-game comeback. L.A. won 6-2 to take a 2-0 series lead as the series shifts to Edmonton.
