Deen’s Daily: MacKinnon Leads Team Canada; Reilly Smith, What a Goal!

Nathan MacKinnon is putting up points for Team Canada. Also, the Hurricanes are back on top and the Golden Knights scored an epic game-winning goal.
All that and more on this edition of Deen’s Daily — May 11.
Colorado Hockey Now
Nathan MacKinnon and Team Canada were victorious at the World Championships. They beat up on Slovenia, winning 4-0 led by MacKinnon’s goal and two assists. I do enjoy seeing MacKinnon and Travis Konecny on the same line. Those guys are close buddies.
More importantly, I hope he’s in Sidney Crosby’s ear every single day.

Stanley Cup Playoff Recap
Game 3 — Carolina Hurricanes at Washington Capitals: Bless the Hurricanes for sticking to their game. They shut out the Washington Capitals 4-0 to take Game 3 in what has been the least entertaining series of the postseason to date.
Game 3 — Vegas Golden Knights at Edmonton Oilers: With Stuart Skinner in goal, the Edmonton Oilers came from behind, again, after trailing 3-2. They got the game-tying goal with just over three minutes left in regulation. But they couldn’t get it to OT. In perhaps the most exciting ending of the playoffs to date, Reilly Smith scored with 0.4 seconds left to stun the Edmonton crowd. Vegas won 4-3 to get back in the series.
