Martin Necas Will Play For Team Czechia at 2026 Winter Olympics

Martin Necas will represent Team Czechia at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy.

Necas was one of the six preliminary names for Czechia’s roster, which was announced early morning on Monday. The 26-year-old recently represented his country at the 2025 World Championships followed a career season in the NHL. He had seven points in as many games in that tournament.

Necas’ 2024-25 campaign included 27 goals and 56 assists split between the Carolina Hurricanes and the Avs.

Twelve nations will participate in the 2026 Winter Olympics from Feb. 6-22. Each nation is revealing the first six names of their preliminary roster throughout the day on Monday.
