Deen’s Daily: Avs Trim Roster; Brutal News for Florida Panthers; Fleury Practices With Penguins

  1. The Avs roster was slightly trimmed ahead of today’s preseason game. Also, the Florida Panthers have suffered a massive blow to their lineup this season, and the Penguins welcomed Marc-Andre Fleury back to practice.

Colorado Hockey Now

The Avs were back at practice on Friday and it sounds like things are coming together for the NHL lineup.

Here’s an update from my colleague Colleen Flynn on three takeaways from the veteran skate.

In regards to those preseason cuts, it’s not a big list and it’s nobody who was expected to fight for an NHL roster spot right now.

After today’s fan fest and preseason game, we’ll likely see a larger set of cuts and then even more so following the game at Ball Arena on Tuesday.
